Tips On Preventing Nausea During Pregnancy

Nausea usually occurs in the early stages of pregnancy. Nausea during pregnancy is also called morning sickness. However, it does not mean that nausea during pregnancy affects pregnant women only in the morning time. You may feel nauseas and vomit at any time of the day, morning, afternoon or night. Nausea stops within three months of pregnancy, but sometimes it may continue into the fourth or the fifth month as well. Since each woman’s body is unique, this symptom of pregnancy also affects you in unique ways.

However There Are Certain All Time Favorite Remedies For Nausea During Pregnancy.

Don’t eat fried and fatty foods. Eating fried and fatty foods can cause you to feel nauseas, as these foods are difficult for the stomach to digest, and sit in the stomach longer, thus making you feel uneasy and queasy.

Drink lots of water and fluids. Drinking lots of water and fluids helps you stay hydrated, because most of the water in your body is getting repeatedly exhausted due to your frequent bouts of vomiting. If you drink juices, they will also enrich you with vitamin c.

Your stomach naturally makes more acids during pregnancy and if these acids do not have food to work against, you will feel nauseas. So never be on an empty stomach. Always munch on something or the other, a light cracker may be, or some fresh fruits.

Have four to five light meals in a day, instead of having two heavy meals.

Do not smoke, because smoking reduces your appetite and this can confuse the stomach.

Avoid smells and tastes that you do not like. These too can make you feel nauseas.

Have a lot of ginger or ginger ale. This is a grandmother’s remedy to avoid morning sickness.

Always stay in a properly ventilated room.
